Cosplay Policy
Cosplay is a vital and enjoyable aspect of anime culture, and we love to see it at Nerdanatix events! However, our top priority is ensuring that all participants are safe. If you plan to cosplay or bring a cosplay prop, you must adhere to the following rules:
Appropriate Attire
-
Costumes must be appropriate for public settings. Fully nude or body paint (while naked) is strictly prohibited. Please remember that we will have attendees under 18; all costumes must maintain a level of coverage appropriate for a general audience.
-
No costumes that are offensive or intended to harass, provoke, or intimidate will be allowed. This includes any costumes or apparel associated with Nazis or organized hate groups. Anyone wearing such attire will be denied entry or removed immediately without a refund.
-
Feet must be covered at all times. Shoes, flip-flops, or other foot coverings must be worn. No bare feet will be allowed in the Nerdanatix event space.
Cosplay Props
Nerdanatix LLC enforces a strict no-firearm policy for the entire duration of the event. This will be strictly enforced. Cosplay props will be allowed only if they cannot be mistaken for real weapons.
-
Projectile weapons (including airsoft or gel blasters), sharpened metal-bladed weapons, or explosives are strictly prohibited.
-
All props are subject to inspection. If a prop is deemed unsafe or too realistic, it must be removed from the event space immediately. For any prop modeled after a firearm, the owner must be able to prove that nothing can shoot from the weapon. This includes establishing that the chamber/barrel is plugged, disabled, or non-functional.
Exhibitors
All exhibitors must comply with all local, state, and federal laws. Event Management will not be held liable for any breaches of law by exhibitors, nor for any losses, injury, or damage to exhibitors or their personal property. Actions arising from any property damage or loss due to the exhibitor’s participation in the event.
Exhibitors should take reasonable measures to protect their items before they leave their booths and are responsible for their own security during show hours. Nerdanatix will not be responsible for any issues arising from an unmanned booth during show hours. Booths must remain intact and manned throughout the convention hours and may not be dismantled before the convention closes without authorization from Nerdanatix.
-
Nerdanatix will not provide or maintain insurance coverage for exhibitors' persons or property; it is their sole responsibility to obtain insurance to cover any losses.

Nerdanatix security, venue security, and local law enforcement officials will treat anything that looks like a real weapon as a weapon. Attendees who choose to ignore this policy will be removed from the convention and will have their membership revoked without refund.
